As for the words Plus-que-parfait (in French: more than perfect), they pose the question of achievement and going beyond perfection.

Futur antérieur, en lettres “outline” blanches, s’inscrit au centre d’un faux carré, sur un fond dégradé de rose au bleu évoquant un soleil levant.

Plus-que-parfait, en lettres “outline” grises, s’inscrit au centre d’un faux carré, sur un dégradé de jaune au rouge, évoquant un soleil couchant.

Deux peintures, deux combinaisons ou conjugaisons, qui à seconde lecture appellent un temps de pose quasi photographique.

Les mots Futur antérieur (oxymore temporel) passent d’une proposition simple à une conception vertigineuse (Borgésienne) du temps.

Les mots Plus-que-parfait quant à eux, posent la question de l’achèvement et d’un au-delà de la perfection.
